Mitiaro Business Trainings were held from 9am to 12pm on Monday 27 February to Wednesday 1 March 2023 in the Mitiaro Community Hall.  The trainings were conducted by Teroro Totini of BTIB and covered various topics related to starting and managing a business, including business planning, marketing, financial management, and tax filings.

The sessions were interactive and engaging, with participants actively participating in discussions, group activities, and role-plays. The trainings also included practical exercises, such as creating a business plan and developing a marketing strategy. Participants were encouraged to apply the knowledge and skills they learned during the trainings to their own business ideas or existing businesses.

Feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive. They appreciated the opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable knowledge that they can apply to their own businesses. Many expressed their gratitude for the trainer’s expertise and the well-organized and informative sessions.

Overall, the Mitiaro Business Trainings were a success, providing valuable training and support to the participants and contributing to the development of small businesses in the community. A follow up training will be organised for early 2024.

BTIB acknowledges the assistance of the Deputy Mayor Inangaro Taia for assisting in making our visit to Mitiaro a success.  Meitaki ranuinui.
