The Business Trade Investment Board offers loans up NZD$10,000.00 for our local indigenous Cook Island’s people who want to start their own business. Access to these funds can be made through an application to the Business Enterprise Division. Applications must meet the requirements and criteria to undergo consideration for approval by the Board. There are four loan schemes:

The Agricultural Development Fund is available to help commercial farmers purchase the farming materials they need to ensure their produce reaches its market.

The Sustainable Export Fund is to help businesses who want to purchase products from the Outer Islands and on-sell them to the market here in Rarotonga or overseas. Supporting exportation of local goods.
This is for the development of the Vanilla Industry in the Cook Islands, with the objective to export. Allocated funds for this scheme have been disbursed accordingly during the years of 2016 – 2018, therefore applications are closed. All Vanilla clients are currently in the growing season of their vanilla farms.
